Synopsis: 140 doors, many of which are large high quality, bespoke sets to the new extension, plus design, supply & installation of 5.5m high motorised external door over looking Trafalgar Square
Approximate Contract Value: £900,000
Main Contractor: Wates
Architect: Jeremy Edwards Dixon Jones

Working together with the Architect, Jeremy Dixon Edward Jones & Wates Construction to supply and install 140 doorsets throughout the major redevelopment of the Main Entrance Portico area and the new East Wing, including the new café and Gallery shop, redevelopment of the Main Entrance Hall, a new multimedia area and espresso bar.

We designed, supplied and installed the motorised, sliding 5.5m high security doors to the new Sir Paul Getty Entrance onto Trafalgar Square.

We also supplied and fitted the 3 doorsets at the Portico Main Entrance on to Trafalgar Square and the doorset to the St. Martins entrance.

Internally we installed the 3 one hour fire rated cherry doorsets in upper vestibule to match existing doors to the Central Hall. These and many other of the internal finished doors, are designed so that when open they fitted within the width of the wall to appear as panels.

Internally, we produced 41 high gloss black door and panel sets within the public areas of the new development, many of which were double doors, one hour fire rated with structural openings of up to 2.5m wide and 3.5m high.

Additionally we supplied and installed toilet cubicle doors and frames, the Portico Entrance cloakroom cupboards and hanging units, skirtings, Security roller shutters and fire shutters. All timber on this project was FSC certified.
